Awesome amp for beginners/intermediates
Matt the Kraken 20.01.2022
I bought this amp waaay back in 2014 and only now am I finding myself in need of a replacement. It's not that anything is wrong with the amp either, I just fancy a change after nearly a decade of using this beast.

This amp is perfect for beginner and intermediate guitarists who need a gigging level amp and for the money, I don't think you can get a better 2x12 combo. I've been gigging this amp regularly since I bought it and have never had any issues. It's had one service in its lifetime to clean up some crackly pots, but that's likely an issue with where it's stored rather than the quality of the electronics themselves.

I exclusively use the clean channel, and it's a great pedal platform with plenty of volume. I do find Channel 2 with the amp simulations is a bit quiet in comparison, some settings jump up and down in volume and it's my personal opinion that the gain channels don't really hold up all that well. But if you've got drive and distortion pedals then you won't have an issue.

It's got an FX Loop which is great for running your delays and reverbs through, and there are some really nice onboard effects too, particularly the reverbs. All in all, this is a fantastic amplifier and well worth your money if you need something with power on a budget.

T
Perfect amp
Tunes_o_grande 23.07.2024
This amp has everything you would need. The cleans are very good, the chorus is just amazing (would compare it to a small clone just to show how good it is), distortion isn't bad either but I advise on a distortion pedal because this amp gets very very lound easly ( for home use I recomend to let the volume on 2 max 3) and with a distortion pedal you can control how lound the distortion will make the amp. I play mostly grunge (soundgarden and alice in chains) on this thing and sometimes metal and this thing handles it like its nothing.
If you don't want a Katana this is your bet, an amazing pedal platform for a decent price.

A
Not the best handling.

I play classical guitar most of the time, but for gigs with my band I play my Fender Bullet strat and this is the first combo I bought for gigs and practicing. For me there is a very big problem with this combo - It's really heavy.

This combo doesn't have a big amp, but It really sounds powerfull, because of the two 12" special design speakers. I think that Fender made a great thing with the power quality on this one. It's enough from small rooms to concert halls.

But it's not always about power, and that's why this combo can be loud when it needs to be, yet still offers a soft and beautiful tone when dialed down, making it the ideal practice amp for the discerning musician or amateur gigger.

I'm okay with the look of this combo. It's sort of Classic - Vintage Appeal.

This product is also simple to use and versatile enough for any style of guitar playing, there's a Champion amp that's right for you whether you?re looking for your first practice amp or affordable stage gear. The 100-watt, dual-channel Champion 100 features two 12" speakers, with great amp voices and effects that make it easy to dial up just the right sound?from jazz to country, blues to metal and more.

But going back to the problems - It is really heavy and I think that for young players It may be a problem If they are buying this not just for practicing in one place. I recommend everybody to think about the conditions of using this product before buying.

All in all - this is a proper product in proper situations.

very good

I only wish the amp had some rollers underneath, so as to move it easier, but I can still place them later. The amp is really powerful and of very good quality compared with tube fender amps.

Options.
Mr.Jag-Stang 02.07.2023
Amp offers plenty of options with distortion tones and also effects. The included switch pedal is ideal for quick changes between either of the 2 channels and the built in effects. Utilizing a clean tone on channel 2 in conjunction with my preferred distortion pedal and it’s very easy to get the exact tone I like. Brilliant.

Superb

The original amp I bought, as a Xmas present, ended up on a 10 week back order. I changed my order at the last minute, and Thomann were able to get it here for Xmas.
My son has nothing but praise for the amp. He absolutely like loves it. Even commented on its ease of use, quality of sound and the variety of sound available.
The foot switch, which is included, works brilliantly.

DB
Great for gigs.
Dutch Binixica 06.08.2018
I bought this amp as i play semi professionally throught the summer season in a function band, and wanted something that had that fender clean tone without the temperamental issues that can arise from running a valve amp.
I own a fender blues junior and whilst its great, its also very fragile, especially at 2am when your loading up your band into a van and care sometimes is the last thing on your mind and you want to get home!
so thought this would be powerful for gigs and get close to the tone of the junior.
Which it does excellently.
The clean tone is fab, and it takes pedals in front really well. The second channel i use for a extra crunchy dirty tone, and the built in effects come in handy, especially the tap tempo for delay which i can set as the drummer starts a song.
Only downside is no DI output, but i chuck a mic in front of it and its perfect.
We played a festival in july 2018, and this was the house amp for four bands and worked superbly.
I also found a cover for it, as its the same as a fender twin in size.
The amp looks great, it has no valves so handles the road great and a three year Thomann warranty!

Amp Review
Patrik8861 29.08.2014
Hay!

Here is a review of this amp.

When it come home, i was shocked. In picture it looks not so big, but when i open the box.. It was in my mind: OMG this is huge. And yes.. I plugged him in the power. And then here we go:

About 1st channel:
- very nice Fender Style clean sound. And all of effect just for clean channel. This is so crazy. I really like the WAH WAH effect, because it sounds very easy, very great for funk. I also really like reverb, because when you play for example Nothing Else Matthers with FX Level: 10 it sounds amazing.

- All other things you would know when you buy it and use it.

About 2nd channel:
-This Brittish Style in 2nd channel is very good with gain between 7 and 8. It sounds like Rolling stones.
-Metal style: very nice and heavy sound, for your riffs .

For the end: You should buy it, because is very nice, good power (100W) and sound it just gorgeous.
