Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water

Absolutely love this pedal - it has a great look, solid build and it really dones something that few others can but unfortunately it has one major flaw - it produces quite a bit of loud hiss/white noise as it modulates the low-pass filter. this was initially inaudble to me when i watched demo vids of the pedal but now that i'm aware of the sound, i can head it in the demo vids too. It is very extreme when put through an amplifier and unfortunately I thnk this may make it unusable for some users.

I use this pedal to bring Lo-Fi life to samples from a computer. It Works great with everything from drums to strings to pianos etc. It does produce a weird high pitch noise that makes the pedal unsuitable for live use but in the studio it's very easy to notch the frequencies. It's a solid build that feels great.

In the beginning it takes some getting used to, but once you get it, you got it. I found that I never use it for recording music though. This is because the whole lofi, worbly music stuff is great to listen to for me, but I don't want to make that type of music. So I would recommend anyone who considers buying this pedal to thing about whether the sound of this pedal fits your personal playing style.

Didn't really like it at first, but once you get to know it, it opens up and turns out to be a wonderful, unique and subtle piece of gear, not only for guitar but for so many other applications

It get’s a little dark and for drums this doesn’t color so good.
But with pads, slow synths and other noises this pedal turns any too digital sounding into a lush randomiser. Absolute keeper but not the only tool possible. Wish it was stereo.
