Can't go wrong

The coating is very good, it makes the strings shine forever. I played them for two months without getting any dirt or rust.
Despite being coated, they still feel like standard Ernie Ball 'strings.

- Sound : 5
The tone is just like the standard Ernie Ball 10-46
Unlike Elixir, the coating has close to no effect on tone.

Overall, this is one of the few 10-52 coated sets and it is awesome.
The coating isn't noticeable while playing (unlike Elixir's Nanoweb), but it will considerably protect strings from rust and dirt.

Best of both worlds: Skinny Top Heavy Bottom
Shepherd 29.04.2022
Finaly found the perfect set of strings after years searching.
these give you a great combination of lower gauges on the higher strings and higher gauges on the lower strings. Perfect for getting full bodied tones for riffing and chords while having the playability and manoeuvrability of lower gauge strings when you want to perform solos and other adventurous lead playing.

Gauges: .010, .013, .017, .030, .042, .052
Also great is that they keep in tune realy good

The sound is great even when played without a amp they resonate great and have a real warm and full sound.

Awesome sounding & durable set of strings!
ardaa 15.12.2018
I use this set of strings for my strat and use it on drop tuning all the time. Despite the drop tning they act like heavy bottoms, so it is really easy to use.

Since I play a lot of SRV tuff I basically attack the strings and broke a lot of strings to this date. These strings are really more durable than the other strings I have encountered. And the feel on your fingers is AMAZING! and that tone...

Have not encountered with any cons yet but will update this IF I do - (which I believe I won't).

Totally amazing set of strings, great job Ernie Ball!!!

mixed feelings

The strings a pretty nice, don't get me wrong, but they are not my cup of tea. I was a first time buyer and am used to elixir optiwebs, so i wanted to try something different. If you are in the situation I was, I recommend that you go one gauge thicker than you usually get.
