Like em'.. Using these on all my guitars
Anonymous 18.11.2014
Previously used Ernie Ball Power Slinkys. These are little bit better.
Seems to last a long time. Difference in sound is more noticeable the cleaner your amp channel is. Fresh strings from packet sound awesome. Feels good. Bends good. Keeps tune good. If I would change strings often I think fresh Power slinkys would be better choice as they are quite the same but cheaper. If got the cash or not changing strings so often that cost matters, I would buy and use these. If cobalt strings get cheaper, then these are #1 for sure.

AN
Not something special

These strings sound good, but do they increase clarity and output, as advertised? No. They don't. In fact, they sound just like regular other brands nickel wound strings. And I mean exactly the same.
They don't loose tone over time, which is good, but they have one problem... I wiped them clean after every playing, but wounded strings would still collect a lot of dirt underneath them and on the sides. It looks aesthetically bad.
I also dislike gauges of 4th and 5th strings: the tension is overkill on them in both standard and drop tunings.
And the price, of course. Considering that these strings don't offer anything exceptional, I'd recommend to buy nickel wounded strings by other brands: you'll get the same quality in most cases!

C
Ernie ball Cobalt 10-52
Colin616 23.07.2013
I bought these for my Charvel ST CUstom (25.5 inch scale tuned to D standard/Drop C). Previously I had the standard Ernie Ball 10-52 set on it and I think there is a big difference between these and the standard set. I find these louder and they are a little clearer sounding, especially on low string riffs. They also seem to be under a bit more tension than the standard set, so they might require a slight adjustment to your guitars setup. If you wipe them down after playing they will also last a bit longer than the standard set. They are more expensive, but I think the sound and feel improvement is worth it.
