The best one on the market.

It's very tidy, a much simpler and more effective design than the Tama and Sonor equivalent clamps. It locks on to the bass drum hoop by grasping onto the inner and outer rim, rather than squeezing the hoop, so it is far less prone to leaving unsightly marks on the hoop over time.
I have found that any hoop clamp that squeezes the hoop to hold tight do come loose after a time. The remedy for those it to tighten them more, thus damaging the hoop.
The DW clamp works much better, doesn't come loose, and doesn't require over tightening to keep it secure.
The hoop clamp used in the DW SM2141X, is the very same as used in the DW SM2141 which is often used to mount a cowbell from the hoop. I've used it for a cowbell and a splash cymbal mounted from it in the past, and they've always stayed secure and have never left a mark on the hoop. This is the reason I went for the DW hi-hat stabilizer over other brands.
I've been using the DW SM2141X stabailizer on a double kick drum set up for a few months now, and there isn't nothing bad to say about it.
If I were to say anything negative it is only that I need to reset everything on it each time it's used. It's not so easy just to slot and lock the hi-hat stand, so I loosen everything except the hoop clamp when setting up.
But this isn't a big deal, and from what I see with other brands, it would be the same anyway.
The hi-hat stand I use is also DW, the 9000 series. Therefore it's compatible with this piece of hardware, but as the part that clamps onto the hi-hat stand isn't adjustable for different hi-hat stands with that are thinner or wider, it probably won't work with some other brands of hi-hat stands. For me, this is never an issue, as all my hardware is DW.
10/10 for me.
