dependable

I've been using these picks (or the Fender counterpart) for the past 10 years and it's a dependable pick. Initially I started off with the green one and then tried all of them out (from thinnest to this one), and I've settled for the 1.14mm because it's durable and because, apparently, I like rigid picks. The light ones have always irritated me because they bend against the strings.

I usually play them flipped to the side (with the pointy side towards the bridge) and very slightly angled, which gives a nice dark tone and the pick doesn't get 'stuck' in the strings. It also makes pinch harmonics easier for me.

I've used them successfully for shredding on an electric as well as on acoustic guitars. They work great for complicated strumming/picking and they are very durable in the face of heavy acoustic guitar strings.

They do tend to slip off every now and then from between your fingers, especially if you're a bit sweaty, but not too much. I don't think I've dropped one while playing sober in the past 7 years or so.

Overall, this is a very dependable pick.

It's the Details that Matter

For many players, a pick is a pick is a pick. Nothing special about them, they more or less all do the same job, right?

It's only when you play with something like the Tortex that you realize how small details make the difference.

The grip is just perfect: sturdy, firm, but with pleasant texture on your skin. It really improves playing, no question about it. The thickness is a matter of preference (and style), but to me these seem to hit the sweet spot.

Highly recommended!

i've tried so many picks

I have tried so many guitar picks that I don't remember them all either, but I know that I have never felt so good as with Tortex.
Obviously the choice of the pick is a matter of personal taste, however there are characteristics such as resistance to use that are good for everyone.
The last picks that I have abused of are the Ibanez Paul Gilbert, which, however, have always worn out too quickly. In these picks I found the same handling, a little less peak (but very little) and a significantly longer duration. I highly recommend them for those who use alternating picking on electric guitar a lot, and also for acoustic guitar they give satisfaction, even if in that case there are different choices also depending on the type of timbre you want to get

Pretty descent
DimitrisL 22.12.2021
When the picks arrived their color seemed to be washed out. However, it seems to be some kind of "dust" left due to the material and/or manufacturing procedure. While playing for a few minutes they appear as their expected color.
They have a nice grip, durability seems fine and I haven't noticed any quality issues.
Definitely recommend if you like the tortex series.
