Better grip for gigs
i.ak 13.02.2014
The original Dunlop Jazz III has been my choice for years. The Max Grip -version is otherwise identical, but offers better grip than standard Jazz III. Good for live shows if you have a tendency to loose your picks while performing your rock moves on stage. Material seems to be as durable as standard red Jazz III. Ultex is more durable, but at least myself cannot find them in dark onstage so I rely on the red ones.

I hope Thomann would start offering bigger packages for these as manufacturer does offer 24 and 36 EA packages as well.

S
Great Lead Guitar pick
Sept 16.12.2022
I got these picks after I started taking alternate picking and lead guitar more seriously. They were recommended to me by many metal content creators and I've got to say I was not dissapointed.

The size and shape are what really perfect it, I've never had picks that I've had a better time playing solos with. The grip is great if you know how to handle a pick correctly.
However, I do not recommend getting these if you are more into rythm guitar as they are very hard to strum with, but if you're planning to play sick solos and licks this is definitely the pick you should be getting!

JJ
The best version of Jazz 3
Josip Jakopovic 06.10.2021
This is the best version of Dunlop Jazz III , the grip is perfect, they ain't stiff as regular Jazz III, the only downside is that they are too small like all other regular versions of Jazz III , that's why I use Dunlop Petrucci Jazz III version, they are a bit bigger

Way too much grip for me personally, but it's good if you like that sort of thing.

Decent pick

Good pick. Smaller than most but a nice satisfying thickness for me. I don’t know if I like the grip. It works very well, It’s just personal preference. The grip does get pretty dirty when I play so they look kinda gross after a while.

Great picks if they are your thing.
Øystein Eirik 07.04.2014
I have used Jazz III picks since I started playing guitar. I loved how the smaller picks game me more control than a larger one. Lately I have changed my ways to larger picks, but that is a story for another time.

If you enjoy the Jazz III picks, but want more grip, then these might be what you are looking for. However, for my taste they actually had too much grip!

While playing I often find myself changing the position of the pick between my fingers, but with these I had to start out with the perfect position because after I started playing I could not move it without a total reset of my grip.

If you are curious of these picks, I reccomend you try them out before buying too many, but if you like them, they are solid and durable picks as Dunlop always carry!

great pick with good grip, but I notice it gets caught easily between strings compared to other picks with rounder edges.

Grippy Jazz 3
Glyn 14.05.2013
Just like the nylons but with more grip! Although they do have more grip than the nylon/stiffo/tortex they can still get a little slippy if you sweat as much as I do on stage.
