Almost Perfect
Andre1865 21.04.2020
This case is excellent value for money and handy in that it is portable and only requires 1x Power cable for the whole unit. my only complaint is that the rows that you screw the modules into are not perfectly aligned so you may have to do some minor misalignment, as the other review mentions i think it has an extra unit.. so if you're buying this for Instagram pics, learn photoshop too. If you're buying it for Music.. Have at it!

D
Excellent, minus a couple of depth and threaded strips concerns
Dinorrific 23.05.2022
I bought this case to replace a cheaper, DIY solution with something more robust. For the price, this is a ton of HP and an excellent, quiet power supply. The case feels nice and sturdy, and while I doubt I could affordably throw it on a plane, it'll definitely survive many a journey by car.

Some items worth considering:
* If you're buying this for use in the US, you'll need to source your own power cable. Get a 90 degree angled one - the straight ones don't allow for the case to sit flat against a wall or desk.
* The power guards in the middle greatly reduce clearance. This is hardly a deal breaker, as my skiff-friendly modules fit perfectly with room to breathe, but it may impact your placement considerations.
* The threaded strips are in two pieces. This can cause some frustration while setting up your first row, but it's easily solved by starting on opposite sides of each row and keeping things loose until you've got everything in its place.
* Panels can slide a little under the left and right edges, resulting in some knobs being a little too close to a barrier for comfort. Larger, more open modules (like Mutable's Elements or Moog's Mother) don't present a big issue, but tighter modules can. It doesn't render them unusable, but it's worth considering. Doepfer includes 4hp blank panels on each side of the case, so you can use this or invest in some cheap 2hp panels if it's a huge issue.
* There is a little space to keep things patched with the cover on, but depending on where your cables are position, you may unexpectedly bend things in dangerous ways.

Despite these minor issues, the case is an amazing value, and I'm glad I went Doepfer for my studio case!

I've had this case for around 3 years now and always in use. Solidly built. Not saying it's cheap but it will suit all of you patch requirements. My best investment so far.

If you want big

This is probably the best on the market. Meets the size need, power needs and looks really impressive. The build quality is unquestionable and I have no regrets.
