In isolation, super fake 12 string effect. Digital artifacts and weird glitching...

I really wanted to love this pedal as the up octave mode on Digitech's Whammy 5 has always impressed me and there isn't another pedal I know of that tries to imitate a 12 string like this. This pedal however has a strange glitchy feel to it, like the pedal is resetting itself while arpeggiating chords. It kind of sounds like it's trying to follow along by continually resetting itself with each new sustained note added to chords. The tone control goes someway to hide this and on monophonic phrases it sounds considerably better. However, for chordal use I felt the sound wasn't as great as I was expecting and could perceive a short delay (only a matter of milliseconds) when playing faster rhythms / strumming. I have heard that in a band mix these issues are considerably reduced and masked but I personally couldn't get past the fakeness of the sound. It's a fairly wide pedal by today's standards and requires a lot of power too. I felt I just couldn't justify a place on my pedal board for it and sent it back.

Looks great but as a twelve string simulator it fails miserably
