When it comes to durability, Cordial Cable doesn’t mince words: “It’s a Cordial Cable; they last for decades.” As someone who frequents underground studios more than stages, I can vouch for their longevity. Nine years and counting, these cables have never faltered, proving they’re built to endure.
But let’s talk about the unexpected twist: the color. Eyeing the CEON series with envy, I was hesitant to splurge on a vibrant orange cable. My DIY instincts kicked in—I considered sourcing the cable by the meter and crafting my own custom creations. Yet, my quest for the perfect hue led me down a rabbit hole of disappointing purchases, including a supposed “Audiophile Hi-Fi grade Cable” that turned out to be nothing more than glorified wire.
Enter the pandemic hiatus and a return to the spotlight for my FB streams. Desperate for flashy cables to dazzle my audience, I stumbled upon the Cordial CTM series, including the elusive orange cable. Despite my skepticism about Cordial’s choice of cable for the CEON series, I decided to give it a shot. After all, affordability was shouting at my wallet!
Upon arrival, I wasted no time putting the cable through its paces. First did a quick Measure with result of 0.0001OHMs/10 meters on all 3 pins, it passed with flying colors (pun intended). Snipping this beauty into custom lengths was a breeze, and even after my soldering escapades, the Neutrik XLR connectors remained unscathed. So I did like a TRS 6,3mm Jack-Jack cable and a pair of RCA saving every millimeter of this beauty.
In the end, my journey wasn’t just about finding a reliable cable; it was about embracing the unexpected allure of color. The Cordial CTM 10Meter-OR XLR Cable not only met my sonic needs but also injected a pop of personality into my setup. So, to anyone hesitant about the color, I say: take the plunge!
