Hybrid picking for people who hate hybrid picking.
TByrne 21.10.2021
I recently started learning some Julian Lage songs and playing them correctly requires doing hybrid picking.
I'm not really a fan of the claw shape you have to pull to do this technique as I feel it's a bit crampy and also the fingers seem to pluck strings at a weird angle. I saw an ad for Black Mountain picks on and decided to give it a go.
These are the type of picks I'm surprised weren't invented years ago. It is super easy to switch between normal picking and a thumb pick style and all my fingers are free to do their thing. The pick stays in place thanks to the spring clamp without being tight. I've a slight mark down in quality due to the plastic it's made of doesn't feel as nice as a Dunlop Flow.
A great pick for hybrid picking with the freedom of finger picking.

Finally a good thumb pick
rznrg 20.01.2023
I've been looking for a comfortable thumb pick for a while. I never liked the classic thumb pick configurations. Even with softening them with warm water then adjusting, it was either loose or more often made my thumb go blue pretty quickly :) This one with the spring really give a perfect amount of grip on the finger to keep it in place but not puching the blood out of it.
Can really recommend it. For me it was the end of searching for a usable thumb pick.
