No miracles
cigilovic 13.11.2021
Bought this a while ago for my US Standard Stratocaster. There was a tickling noise coming from the headstock area. After having looked into the issue, I had first attempted to change string trees. But didn't make a difference, then I applied the Nut Sauce on the nut. It also didn't make a difference.

I think it's a nice product. However, their claims are a bit too over the top. It doesn't improve sustain or overtones at all. It's just a lube that actually doesn't drip or leave any stain.

I think buying 0.5ml and trying for yourself won't damage the bank. It will last a long time for sure. Personally, I wouldn't buy more. I'm planning to go back to gold old graphite.

Note that Thomann review section for this particular item doesn't reflect the quality accurately. This has been classified as a cleaning agent. However, it has nothing to do with cleaning.

Would it protect the saddles and the nut? Maybe a little bit.
But it would definitely not clean anything. For this reason, I'm giving a 3-start for this parameter.

smoother and easier tuning
Shai-Hulud 28.06.2021
Just a little bit of this applied to each string slot of the nut allows for a lot easier and smoother tuning. It makes it even possible to tune down.

The way I apply it, without wasting too much of it, is by lifting the strings out of their slots after the string replacement and final tuning.

One thing I've noticed though is after a while, when the strings settle, the nut sauce will either be dried out or be "taken out" of the nut slots because of retuning.

Good product but don't expect miracles
Greaser777 10.06.2021
I bought this product in order to improve the tuning stability of my guitars. It works pretty well and a tiny amount of product is enough to lubricate the nut, the string trees or the bridge saddles. But don't expect miracles. If your problem is a poorly cut nut, then this product won't really help. It worked really well with 2 of my guitars but I still have issues with my Gretsch 2622T despite having changed the tuners, blocked the bigsby and applied this product. The problem is the nut slot for the d string that is too narrow, and the "nut sauce" doesn't really fix the problem.

Does the job!

This is a good lubricant for the nut and saddles, does the job. Maybe it's just me, but the pencil graphite does the same.

No miracle, but clear improvement!
Paulo H Araujo 29.09.2021
Apart from the funny naming and the ridiculously small quantity, it's a product that may cause some skepticism. But after trying on my guitars (including a yamaha nylon guitar), the results doesn't really feel like placebo. 3rd strings seems to be more acquiesced, and good overall tune after bends and "normal" use of tremolo.

And after that, trying to search for the limits and going WAY past where I usually go on bends and tremolo on my PRS SE guitars, yes, I noticed a difference in tuning. But then, WAY smaller than I had without using the lubricant.

So yes, I do recommend the product and will keep using it on all my guitars.

Good Stuff

...if a bit pricey..though a little goes a long way.....but it certainly does what it promises, really helping with traditional Strat trems and giving a noticeable element of extra tuning stability all round plus is a lot cleaner than messing around with pencils or whatever!,,,plus it does not appear to stain the nut or leave ugly residue....I'll be continuing to use this..

Works well
GASadict 09.09.2019
Use this on my Les Paul and Strat and has certainly prevented string sticking in my LP nut - making tuning stability a none issue for me. Also useful on my Strat - but benefits are less obvious. Good product but silly expensive - although it lasts a long time.

It Just Works
paniccoffee 13.03.2019
Pros:
+ The applicator provides a precise way of applying lubrication to parts without it leaking, such as nuts and saddles of guitars, but could also be applied to any other stringed instrument that needs lubrication
+ effectively reduces friction, ensuring tuning stability.

Cons:
- Pricey for the amount of product. While the Big Bends sticker looks cool, I would have wanted more product instead.

Does what you expect

This nut sauce actually works great, and lubricates the nut an saddles better than anything else (except Graphite Nuts and saddles of course). However be very very careful when you apply it. A little to much, or a little drop on anything that isn't the nut or the saddles can leave horrible stains, or in my case strip paint the finish of the hardware below the saddles.
