Great synth, medium quality, poor quality and support for Behringer
Ecoco 13.01.2019
This is my favorite synth. Awesome sound, great handling and lots of options.

However, when a company sells product (Behringer) you expect it to be (somehow) final and (somehow) supported.

This is not the case for the Neutron. Many issues, challenges to update formware, an app that I yet have not been able to connect to etc. Behringer dont inform well or give any advices. Very very unprofessionel.

HW quality is okay?ish. The case is nice but one pot (filter mod) is already bit wobbly.

I love this synth but fear issues might never be resolved.

You get a great synth for the money (but lets also keep in mind analog hw synths are in general becoming cheaper eg ms20). Expect some issues that might never be resolved. Recommend all potential buyers have a look on the Issue forum on behringer site before buying.

Would I buy again: Yes. But only new where I have full warranty. Just bought Model D from Thomann.

expected more

I honestly expected more of the neutron.
The build quality is not very good, a lot of issues happen here and there and this interfere with my flow.
Very disappointed with the delay, its just not sitting well in a mix.
The filter, also something that could be better, not powerfull enough.
Overdrive is so-so.
To say something I like, the stepless waveform transition is very good, a good amount of waveforms too.
Also, having two oscillators for that kind of money is something to consider, a lot of patchpoints, noise generator, paraphony...
A lot of features, some of them could be better, I would prefer that and a higher price than what Behringer delivered here... its perfect for an entry synth or something that you would play with from time to time but deff not a game changer or your main weapon in the studio.
For the price range you cant get better, but you better save for something more expensive that really standout.

It would of sounded good without some fundamental flaws
AlinD 30.06.2020
I got it for actual use in music as it sound very close to the "moog" sound.

If it would of had a clean sound this would be an amazing addition to any studio for those thick deep harmonics filled sounds, but unfortunately it's unusable because of some fundamental flaws that make it unusable in a professional context and I think these flaws are directly related to the low price components used.

These are the flaws that make it unusable in my opinion: OSC 2 sound bleed (quite audible on low cutoff freq tones), high LFO bleed in some situations, unstable oscillators (they drift quite a lot), unexpected saturated / distorted delay section, quite some noise on the output although I was recording with a RME Fireface 802 preamp.

I would of preferred a higher price, but with more reliable components to avoid the problems listed above.

It's a very cool piece of gear for synth enthusiasts, but in a real world high end production studio it's impossible to ignore the sound flaws. I would consider it more of a semi-professional toy rather than a professional synth.
