I've owned multiple sets of the C2s, for different purposes, and your use dictates their lifespan. As studio microphones, the repeated connection cycling can cause mechanical faileure, as I've experienced on one of mine. However, in a static setup (e.g. as an XY pair for a lecturn), they work wonderfully. A bit bright for some purposes, but good for the money. Would consider them ideal for budget installations or as a last minute replacement, but would be worth investing a bit more into high quality versions - the B5's are pretty good.
The included stereo bar is very useful too.
