R
Cole Clark pickup in a £700 guitar!!! Eh Yes please!!:)
Rowlz 30.05.2024
I was in the market for a £1000 plus guitar, something like a Takamine. My friend told me to check out Baton Rouge and specifically the TLM model due to it having the exact same pickup as his Cole Clark guitar which is 3 times the price. I have not been disappointed!!! The guitar arrived a week after ordering it. The guitar itself looks gorgeous.
Pros -
The pickup is fantastic, it has a really warm character to it with nice mids and a resounding bass tone, thanks to the different configurations you can achieve with the latest Cole Clark pickup. It's a very light guitar, I wasn't expecting it to have much resonance but its quite loud for an auditorium guitar, you'd easily play it unplugged at a camp fire")

Cons -
It doesn't have strap buttons installed..why??
I had to bring it to a luthier because the frets were not polished properly on the sides on the higher frets.

All in all a fantastic guitar for the money")
