Aesthetically Pleasing & Highly Functional
JChong 20.11.2020
Needed to swap out my old K&M pop filter which had the meshing tearing. I'd figured I could change out the mesh with some stocking from the dollar store but hey, it's a good opportunity to get a sturdier and nicer looking one.

Looked around for alternatives and I've always been impressed with Aston's pop filters; they look slick and are high functional. Took the dive and ordered this along with my Brauner microphone in the same order. When it came I was surprised how sturdy the gooseneck is. The only drawback was that it's really really really STIFF. A good thing though. Also I'm not a huge fan of the clamp, I would have preferred the ones with a screw which you can tighten onto the microphone stand but the clamp seems tough enough. Only time will tell if the spring loosens up or gives way. Also if the rubber bushings give way it's not going to hold anymore unless you replace it.

Tried it out, excellent pop rejection. It's almost near zero before and after and I don't notice much of a difference in the top end. Some pop filters sort of deaden the top end with too thick of a mesh, other's have very poor plosive rejection (*cough* like the K&M *cough*) but this impressed me.

If any I would have considered the shockmount with the pop filter but the Brauner mics come with their own really nice proprietary shockmount so that might be a purchase few years down the road.

For singers who wear glasses
Shaw 31.07.2021
I bought this pop filter mostly for its curved design, as I found my glasses frequently click on other pop filters' frames, which created a nasty noise in the recording. The surface feels blade-y and sharp, and is easy to clean (for hygiene concerns). My only grip, though, is its short and inflexible gooseneck. The positioning options are quite limited when the mic is dropped from the top.
