A small but great pedal
Anonymous 25.04.2016
I bought the Artec Analog Delay SE-ADL pedal to use it mainly for my live shows and as an additional pedal to my pedalboard for my lead guitar work onstage. In a recording studio situation the SE- ADL pedal is also very flexible and can be set up very fast with no fuss at all.
If set up properly, it can deliver a great superb vintage delay and echo sound.

I don't think that there's any other delay or echo pedal out there that can beat the price of this little analog delay pedal. The tone is warm and brighter than most pricy pedals out there. The top metal body shell is solid and eye catching and the vintage looking time, mix and repeat knobs are soft and easy to use for guitar pedal newbies.

When I had it for about three days in my studio, the battery cover was broken but this never did affect the total mechanical function of the pedal . I tapped it with ducktape and it worked perfectly again. Should one record live in a home studio, the switch button is so loud and making that horrible clicking noise, but the sound still sound great.
There's a noise and an unavoidable hiss occuring during a certain volume. Maybe this is only during live gigging. One overall master volume for the whole pedal would have been usefull because when one mix everything together, there's no way to controll and regulate the pedal overall volume properly but only have to rely on the volume of your musical instrument. Otherwise, a great sounding great little pedal. I like mine and do use it for all kinds of effect experiments on and of stage.

You get what you pay for.

Been using this pedal on my board all day since it arrived.

Does it delay? Absolutely. Is it worth it? I'll get to that.

The pedal itself is well-presented in a sleek little box, and is held in place by a little foam ring on the inside. The build quality of the pedal itself is pretty decent, die-cast metal, a clicky footswitch, some rubber tread on the bottom and some fairly solid feeling pots. It even came with a 9-volt battery ready to go in the battery box; nice.

The interface is pretty simple and self-explanatory, the amount of delay you want, how much of it you want in the mix, and how long you want the delay to last (which if cranked fully, will soon begin to feedback into infinity and blow your face off).

There are problems with the pedal however, as when I first plugged in it made a horrific shrieking noise, which was quickly solved by using a battery. There also appears to be some trapped static in the pots, every time I turn them there's hissing and crackling. It also seems to struggle when dealing with higher outputs, leading to occasional volume spikes. However this has turned out not too badly in My case, as I enjoy sound design using signal artifacts and faults in My projects.

For Me, this pedal wasn't a huge loss, but if you're in the market for high quality, crystal-clear delay pedals, then I'd hold on to your pennies.

Well, obviously you do not geht the sound of a really high class analog delay with this pedal, but for this price the sound is really good in my opinion.

I use it for a few of my acoustic songs, nothing too fancy where you really need a high class system - but for that it is enough. Not as good as the real analog delays (i do not really think that the arctec pedal is really analog..), but alright for me.

The exteriour is made of metal, not plastic like other pedals which are more cheap are made of -> the quality in general is really good!

Good 80s looking pedal, pretty solid but whit a not convincing vibe

I have been using this pedal on my board all the time since I decided to buy it.

The sound is interesting... is it worth it? I'll get to that.

The pedal itself is well-presented in a sleek little box, and is held in place by a little foam ring on the inside. The build quality of the pedal itself is pretty decent, die-cast metal, a clicky footswitch, some rubber tread on the bottom and some fairly solid feeling pots. The interface is pretty simple and self-explanatory, the amount of delay you want, how much of it you want in the mix, and how long you want the delay to last.

There are problems with the pedal however, every time the delay circuit it's triggered a quite annoying shrieking noise is audible.

There also appears to be some trapped static in the pots, every time I turn them there's hissing and crackling. It also seems to struggle when dealing with higher outputs, leading to occasional volume spikes.

For Me, this pedal wasn't a huge loss, but if you're in the market for high quality, crystal-clear delay pedals, then I'd hold on to your pennies.

Basic analog delay
bananafish 04.04.2021
Still works after a few years of use. I bought it as my first delay pedal. Now I have a few other delays that cost a lot more, but this one still sits on my pedalboard for short slapback delay, but it can do more than that, for example, it can self-oscillate if you need.

Simple, basic and trusty.

great and cheap pedal!
Fex54 16.04.2014
the artech delay is a cool delay-pedal. this is a Korean brand that makes its pedals in China...

Sold as an analog delay. Single, simple connection, Jack & Output imput. We can not attack two amps to create stereo effects (eg ping pong). Adapter not included, however I received a 9 V battery with the pedal. Lightweight and strong a priori. Plastic knobs. 3 settings: Time, Repeat and Mix.

excellent constructions and controls (they actually do what they are supposed to, with a rather linear scale), this allows to go from slapback to reverb. However, when I plugged it to an hughes&kettner 20th anniversary, I found the output sound quite mushy and sort of attenuated!

very cool pedal!

Fun for the price
Anonymous 24.06.2014
I got this delay to use use on my monosynth (rather than guitar) during jams and found it to be a great deal of fun. The analog type delay sound is actually rather pleasing and has a satisfying dirtiness as the repetitions really pile up. The only downside (and this could be due to something else in my setup) is that when I've tried to record I get some unwanted noise when the pedal is bypassed.

DO
an adequate delay
Dr Ohmtron 06.06.2020
effect wise this does exactly what you want. it's an analog delay. sounds great!

however it's not the most reliable pedal i've ever bought. sometimes doesn't want to switch on. sometimes it works with an adaptor, sometimes not. this is a very handy pedal but i would not trust it enough to make it a part of a pedalboard.

Okay pedal

For the price this is a good pedal and gives you a good analogue delay! It does brighten your distortion tone when engaged, which can be slightly annoying if your distortion is already quite bright! I use this as a quick slap back delay and it does the job great!

A good buy!

Simple and convenient
Pavel V. 14.01.2014
Pedal I bought along with the guitar Fender Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster. I love simple and convenient devices. This device successfully reproduces the analog sound. With three control knobs of the pedals can achieve incredible guitar sound. For little money I found what I wanted. The pedal can be used with the battery and power supply. It is lightweight and quite sturdy construction. I like it. Recommend.
