Alpine MusicSafe Pro - Black Edition

I had always used foam ear plugs for gigs etc but always wanted to try something more suited for music and had a better range of frequency than the foam ones.

Unfortunately these have not become a replacement for my foam earplugs. I don't have unusual ears and have found lots of different ear plugs that work well for me but these Alpine ones are simply too small to provide and meaningful seal even though it's claimed the diameter is adjustable and. I've used them for up to an hour and they didn't mould to me ear as stated with the Thermo plastic stuff. As such I can't verify how well the filters work because so much noise makes it around the ear bud itself.

I also found it odd that they provide only one additional ear bud to hold the filters instead of a full second set.

Pros: Good packaging and nice carrying case. Connecting the two ear buds with the string provided is also handy.

Cons: Ear bud is simply too small to provide a proper seal to be useful with the filters

I personally will be trying something else next time.
