Works fine, might not last forever
Ädi 18.06.2019
I bought one of these just before a week-long tour, and the center screw came loose every time I moved the case. Thomann sent me a new one, and it works better, but the center screw doesn't always seem to fit perfectly in the hole on the top lid. When this one fails or falls apart, I'll buy one with a better system for keeping the center screw tight.

Cymbal safe

Great protecting of cymbals when all band gear is stuffed inside van on top of each other. Because that is normally the case. Only problem is that opening of the case needs lot of space. In small stage where you need to change the cymbal behind the drum kit because other band members are taking care of their gear front of the drum kit, there might be no space fully open the case. In that case canvas style bag is better. But still i prefer this hard case because i dont need to worry about the cymbals when transporting them.

Not what i expected for the price

Pros
Holds all my cymbals.
Cons 1
the centre pin retaining nut not strong enough and comes undone in transit allowing cymbal movement.(could lead to key holing)
Cons 2
The case covering is not robust and tears/catches easily in transit from and to gigs.
I have since purchased a hard case cymbal case and wish I had done so from the onset

A
A cheap, good cymbal case
Anonymous 12.05.2015
I needed this case to transport my cymbals from gig to gig and to store my cymbals between band sessions and so far it has has been good. The handle and the locks are sturdy and have given no problems so far and the case isn't too heavy (until cymbals are put into it of course).

The main issue that I had with it was that the metal bar in the middle of it would not keep in place, causing the cymbals to move around a bit and the lock on top of this bar stopped working. the housing itself though is strong and I am not scared of damaging the cymbals inside.

Does the job

No issues as such, though it doesn't feel as solid as a hardcase should. That being said, it will serve it's purpose, I just wouldn't load too much gear on top of it. Still a fraction of the price of higher end brands.

Great for the price

Very good for the price. The only disavantadge may be the fact that is very heavy...Apart from that is resistant and costs less than half the price of an HARDCASE one...
