Good quality, hard sturdy and plastic
Anonymous 01.04.2014
These picks are plastic, hard and don't bend.

When i pick or strum after having been practicing for a couple of days....my playing tends the be a bit more rusty, more forced and less subtle.

The first thing i always notice is this plastic sound hitting the strings.
Mostly i blame my playing ....but it is the sturdiness of the plastic of these picks
that brings my bad playing to the surface.

After consistent practicing the picks no longer produce this sound.

So for guitarists.. either picking or strumming hard on their guitars....this might not
be their pick of choice.

The picks are really sturdy and good quality....and i have never had one fail on me, by being broken or chipped . After consistent use there are only little scratches on them, that don't effect guitar play.

Yet on black surfaces, like stages, they are easily lost....never to be found again.
That is how i mostly lost my picks apart from leaving them in the studio, in my pants etc.

Gripwise....because of the clear plastic surface....the picks tend to move around unless you have a firm grip on them. Especially after long plays your hands get sweaty and your grip on them loosens.

The classic

Picks are like ice cream - everyone loves them, and everyone has their own favorite. For me, this pick is like chocolate ice cream - nothing exotic, but works every time and if it would suddenly disappear from the face of the earth a lot of people would miss it. All in all, great comfort, great attack and nice presence. Durabiliy ok.

Dunlop Shell Classics Medium Picks

Trying a few different picks out at the minute, and I'm not normally a fan of this type. However, I actually rather like these, though I do find them a bit on the slippy side being more used to using Dava style picks which are very grippy. These are good value for money though, and they seem pretty sturdy compared to other similar picks that I've used in the past.
