Artec SE-3 Bass Electronics Set

I have had Artec equipped instruments before but this was disappointing. All the electrical connections were soldered over which means you have to desolder them to make reliable connections.

I didn't bother, I'm not going to mess around with a SMT circuit board for hours when the manufacturer could have easily provided solder pins. I put it in my spares box and ordered the Glocknenklang instead. Buy cheap, buy twice.

2 stars overall, 4 for quality because it's clearly well made, zero stars for sound because I haven't heard it. If you don't value your time then go ahead and play with it. I know it's a very good sounding preamp because I've owned them before but I can't be bothered with the trouble of installing it.
