A good case!
jrakus 16.09.2020
I bought this for a Harley Benton EX-76 (2020 model). It fits the guitar ok but leaves some space. The longer horn has to be supported by the additional cushion. A small cushion comes with the case - this is great! I wish there would be 2 cushions, one small one bigger.
Above the headstock there is 6cm space for which I will make another cushion. But the guitar doesn't move anyway.
The neck support could be wider. Its also a little to high ..you have to modify it a little.
The case is not made exact. Quality is not great. The upper cover doesn't close completely because its not aligned well with the lower part. you have to press it together.
Overall the case looks nice.
The case is well balanced. It tilts forward without the guitar but with the guitar it evens out. The latches close ok. Handle seems sturdy.
The inner fabric is short haired plush (or velvet). The padding around the edges is 1cm thick and in some places thicker to support the body and press the neck.
The inside smells of somekind of glue / petroleum. Guitar smells after being in the case. I'm sure it will go away over time.

To be clear - the case is ok for this guitar even without modifications. It holds the guitar without moving. But it's clearly made for the big explorers and bigger guitars.

It's ok for me for the price.

Completely adequate, especially for this price!
Keith Norris 30.05.2019
I bought this case for my Epiphone Explorer. Because it an aftermarket case intended to accomodate a variety of oddly shaped guitars, it can't reasonably be expected to precisely fit the instrument. However, due to a clever piece of moveable padding (included with the case) it is possible to prevent my Explorer from moving around too much. This is not a high-end road case (I didn't expect it to be for this price), but it provides perfectly adequate protection for the guitar while storing it or transporting by hand/in an automobile. Very good value for the money. And as always with Thomann, excellent service and fast shipping.

GOOD FOR LEFT HANDED RANDY RHOADS GUITARS!!!!!!!
HydraDaSlayer 13.06.2020
I had a huge problem with getting a hardcase for my Left Handed Randy Rhoads Js32-T.

I read on several forums that the Jackson branded V case does not fit with my guitar, so I made a decision, and ordered this case.

It barely fits in the case, the longer side of the V body touches the corner of the case, same with the head of the guitar, but thanks god it fits :D.

Although I'm very happy with this case, it came with a little damage due to the shipping, right at the outside corner, it broke/ripped a bit.

I hope I could help on a few LH RR owner out there. :)

Cheers!

Bigger than expected!
ShadeshiftR 04.06.2024
I was looking for an affordable hard case for my warlocks, as i have two(but neither are B.C.Rich) so I found this and decided to buy it. By god, the size is bigger than i thought it would be. My warlocks actually move around in there, but with the cushion supplied they sit firm against the lid and don't hit the walls, not that it'd ever damage them.
The docked star is for the padding, as it feels rather too firm and thin. But a little squish here and there does soften it up a touch. has a funny smell but obviously that fades over time so no issue.
My last gripe quality-wise is the locks; i like the notch in the top that ensures the extra mile for it staying shut, but when i close it i almost have to re-align the lid, as if it's not been lined up properly. Not entirely sure the locks are all straight either.
Overall i'd say it's good enough for carrying your guitars to the studio or a gig, but i daren't take this on a flight. I'd also recommend throwing a little extra padding in for your own peace of mind.

Update: had two days of usage and the fourth lock has broken off. Dropped quality to three stars because that’s just really bad of Thomann’s own equipment.

i got this case for an old hohner SR devil i got(its like gus g star shape guitar).really good for extreme shape guitars with alot of room but unfortunately without a locker inside :(
I also belive that the quality could have been a bit better at least for the metalic parts of the case.Overall a almost good case for the price(could have been a bit cheaper for the quality) and unique for extreme shape guitars get it!!

before you order it send a message to thomann so they put a fragile sign on the box.mine came with a lot of stretches cause package was poor and didn't had fragile sign!probably someone put something heavy upon it on the way to my door.

Nice basic case for home storage and protection
Dad Gad 28.02.2020
I bought it for home storage. I did not need a airline ready ultimate case for home storage. It fits a V style guitar just fine. I did not try a Dean in it with the huge reverse V head but one may fit. The interior is basic and practical. It also has a secondary pad which could be useful. A case of this type at this price is not available any where else that I know of.

Thomann Xtreme Case - Review
Martin_S. 21.09.2024
This case got shipped to me within a weeks time! I was suprised seeing as i am quite far away from Thomman HQ, the case was a bit damaged once it got here but nonetheless it might be something thats on each one but overall it was in perfect condition. The handle isnt too comfortable, holding it for long periods of time get painful at times, but the reassurement of safety for my new guitar makes up for it.
Overall id say its worth it to get this case!

Better than Expected!
Anonymous 20.01.2016
I have ordered this case for my custom design from Flying Finn Guitars. The shape of my guitar is kind of like Jackson Rhoads guitar it has been fitting very well, but the only problem is that it just moves when one picks up the case as the neck doesnt really sit and stay properly. STILL it keeps the guitar very safe indeed!
